John Shumaker

John Shumaker, a native Dallasite, received his Bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas at Austin, Doctor of Jurisprudence from Texas Tech University School of Law, and has been practicing law since 1993.  Even though he has helped many clients in multiple areas of law, the primary focus of his practice is assisting clients and their families who have been injured in automobile, trucking, motorcycle, bicycle and pedestrian accidents .  John Shumaker is admitted to the practice of law before the Supreme Courts in Colorado, Texas, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas and the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals, and is a member of the Southeast Dallas Chamber of Commerce, Greater Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and Greater Dallas Asian American Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Shumaker began his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney for the State of Colorado, where he was the lead prosecutor in hundreds of jury trials.  After returning to Dallas in 1998, he opened The Shumaker Law Firm, P.C. to serve clients in the area where he was raised.  Since that time, The Shumaker Law Firm has been dedicated to providing quality representation and personal service to a limited number of clients.

Mr. Shumaker currently lives and works in East Dallas.  When he is not working for his clients, he enjoys traveling, outdoor activities, social activities and spending time with his potbelly pig, Napolean. 

Joel A. Gordon

Joel A. Gordon, a graduate from the Texas Tech University School of Law, has been practicing law in Houston, Texas, since November 1993.  Although Joel A. Gordon & Associates has helped many clients in multiple areas of the law, the focus of the practice is assisting injured clients and their families with personal injury and wrongful death claims. 

Joel A. Gordon is admitted to practice law before all Texas state courts, and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas.  Mr. Gordon is a member of the State Bar of Texas, and a past member of the American Bar Association, the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, and the Houston Bar Association.
